UPPAbaby Minu Duo vs Nuna TRVL dubl
Two light side-by-side doubles, with the Minu Duo at $750 and 27.4 lb and the TRVL dubl at $950 and 25.2 lb. The Nuna is the lighter by 2.2 lb but the wider by 2.7 inches when folded, 30.5 against 27.8, and its basket is rated at 22 lb against the Duo's 25. The TRVL dubl accepts a Nuna Pipa natively, but only one car seat can be attached, on the wider seat, so twins in infant seats do not work. The Minu Duo lists both seats as suitable from birth and takes Mesa or Aria seats on adapters, sold separately, so an infant and a toddler or two babies lying flat are covered. Twins therefore point to the Duo, and the harder case is a Pipa family with a newborn and a toddler. The dubl's direct Pipa click, near-flat recline and one-hand fold that stands (the Duo's stand is not listed) suit that household, and the 2.2 lb it saves counts on every lift. It also costs $200 more, and its extra width is what decides whether a double goes through a doorway.
Folded, the UPPAbaby Minu Duo makes a 4.92 cu ft box to the Nuna TRVL dubl's 9.67 cu ft. Neither fits a 22 x 14 x 9 in carry-on sizer: the UPPAbaby Minu Duo misses by 9.7 in and the Nuna TRVL dubl by 13.75 in. The Nuna TRVL dubl is 2.2 lb lighter by its maker's figure (25.2 lb to 27.4 lb). Nuna PIPA series seats click straight onto the Nuna TRVL dubl; every seat listed for the UPPAbaby Minu Duo needs an adapter.
